Startup Weekend
This past weekend at American Underground, entrepreneurial energy was through the roof as participants came together for Startup Weekend. Complete strangers arrived on Friday, but by Sunday, they had formed teams, built businesses, and left as friends.
Over the course of the weekend, participants dived into the full entrepreneurial process, including:
Customer Discovery: Understanding their target market.
Prototyping: Bringing ideas to life with tangible models.
Lean Canvas Business Model: Mapping out their strategies and plans.
Building a Pitch: Fine-tuning their business ideas for presentation.
Throughout the weekend, participants had access to expert mentors who offered invaluable advice, guiding each team step by step. Shout out to the mentors who made this journey possible!
Saturday night was all about kicking back and connecting with a rooftop party featuring a taco bar, music, and cocktails—thanks to American Underground for such a chill vibe!
On Sunday, the teams presented their pitches, and the competition was fierce! In the end, the winning team walked away with $1,000 to continue building their dream.

The Startup Weekend at American Underground was an incredible experience—full of energy, creativity, and collaboration. I met so many talented entrepreneurs, pitched ideas, and even formed a team to work on a new project. The mentors provided invaluable feedback, and the fast-paced environment pushed me to think quickly. By the end, I felt inspired and motivated to keep building my startup. Thankfully, I found Take my TOEFL test for me service, which helped me free up time to fully focus on the event without worrying about my upcoming English proficiency exam. The support was reliable, and I could dedicate myself to networking and learning. The weekend reminded me of the power of community and innovation.
